1. I love his dance moves. I really wish I had a picture, but I don't. You will just have to come to whatever wedding we get invited to next and see it yourself.
2. I think it is so cute how childish his taste in ice cream toppings is. He likes a massive amount of sprinkles and gummy worms - ew!
3. I love how he treats me to a Lord of the Rings marathon at least once a year (usually around my birthday). I just love that Gandalf the Gray.
4. I love our runs to Sonic for tasty "Happy Hour." $1.87 for a large cherry limeade and a medium vanilla Dr. Pepper keeps our summer [and bank account] cool.
5. I love how smart he is. I'd like to explain Tyler's love for learning in analogy form...
5-year-old-boy : Building Legos :: Tyler : Discussing Paul's use of the Old Testament
6. I love that he is where HOME is for me (even though I really like Texas).
7. I love how he throws his head back and his arms fold up into his chest like a T-Rex when he is laughing really hard.
8. I think it is hilarious (and really smelly) when he blames his farts on our cat.
9. I think he is the best foot-rubber in the Midwest.
10. I don't know why God picked me to bless with such a rewarding marriage, but I'm not making any complaints. Happy 5 Year Anniversary, Ty!

This just about made me cry because I'm so happy that you guys are so happy. I really love you.
My wife is pretty awesome. I want to post the 10 things I love about her. I know it's totally unoriginal and I have my own blog, but my blog is about NT stuff and no one reads it so . . . Here goes
1. Smile. Hands-down the most room brightening set of pearly whites on the planet. Her smile is contagious. Just look at a picture and you can see that her whole face is at work in producing the most joyful cheek-pulling, nose-crinkling, eye-widening event.
2. General Hilariousness. When people first meet Margo they think, "Oh, she's so sweet." That's true, but she is more funny than sweet. Believe me, I am often the butt of her jokes and I wouldn't have it any other way (most of the time).
3. She's pretty. This could get inappropriate but it won't. She is just so attractive and I'll leave it at that.
4. decorating. I don't love doing the projects that she requires but she makes our home comfortable and beautiful. It never ceases to amaze me.
5. She trusts me. It's not that she just believes that I won't cheat on her, but she actually trusts me to make decisions that are best for both of us. She expects me to be selfless.
5. She calls me on my crap. She won't let me be a hypocrite. Thankfully she loves me even in my failings. She teaches me simultaneously about grace and holiness. In this way she's a good theologian.
6. Creativity. She's a great writer even though she's shy about it. I laugh out loud when she describes to me the activities she does in lessons for children. She has bright nail-polish. In so many ways she's creative. It's fun.
7. She has a green thumb. In addition to cultivating a gorgeous home she has grown a bountiful vegetable garden and beautiful flower patches. I think this is just a small picture of her as a person who gives life naturally.
8. She's a child whisperer. I don't really understand it, maybe it's because she's a lot like a child, but Margo has an uncanny ability to love and be loved by children. They trust her and love her because she genuinely enjoys them as children. She doesn't look at kids as "potential adults" but as little hilarious people who bring joy and laughter into the world. I like that.
9. She's probably the kindest person I've ever met. Her tender heart has been calloused to suffering like mine often is.
10. She always buys me the best books. Seriously, for Valentines day one year I got the Anchor Bible Dictionary. It's true love.
Thanks for this sweet blog post. I and many others love to hear your thoughts and laugh. As always, you bring unexpected joy into our lives.
I just love you guys. What a sweet post, Margo...and a sweet follow-up, Ty. I love it!
so sweet... both of you. thanks for being great examples to our youth.
